Enzyme Software is the independent consultancy of Lee Cheneler, a UK principal engineer working across technical direction, delivery and team effectiveness.
Lee has built software professionally since 2012 and contracted since 2018, leading engineering across retail, financial services, publishing, healthcare and education.
His engagements range from hands-on architecture and implementation to technical leadership across several teams. He specialises in complex digital products and cloud platforms, with current expertise in TypeScript, React, Next.js, AWS and Terraform.
He also builds products of his own, including Kiri, a local-first AI workspace, and has designed and built a digital operations platform for an independent healthcare practice. Both reflect the approach he brings to client work: understand the real problem, build the right amount of system, and make quality and operability part of the design from the beginning.
His approach to AI is pragmatic: useful context, automated checks and clear human review. The objective is not more generated code, but software that teams can understand, deliver and maintain.
